Statement by Honda Canada Regarding Expanded Recall of Takata Non-Desiccated Passenger Front Airbag Inflators

In conjunction with the second phase of planned recalls in the U.S. first announced by NHTSA in May 2016 based on recent Defect Information Reports (17E-001, 17E-002, and 17E-003) from the airbag inflator supplier Takata, Honda has decided to also conduct recalls in Canada covering approximately 428,641 Honda and Acura automobiles to replace, free of charge to vehicle owners, Takata passenger front airbag inflators which do not contain a moisture absorbing desiccant.
